FLL Summer Camps!
Robotics Camps
Each summer, the Robo Raiders offer half day, week-long camps for students entering 2nd-9th grades. We use Lego robot kits to teach the basics of programming, core values, problem solving, and provide students with a FIRST® Robotics themed challenge to showcase at the end of the week.
Intro to Robotics
For students entering 2nd - 4th grades, 6-12 students
All materials provided
Welcome to PlayMaker from FIRST® LEGO League Junior! Using the WeDo Robotics kit, students will work with a partner to begin exploration of STEM concepts. Projects include building LEGO models and programming simple code. We will finish the week by learning about exercise, playing, and staying fit. Finally, we will design and program moving models for a playground.
Robotics I
For students entering 4th-8th grade with no prior FLL experience, 8-12 students
All materials provided
Students will work with a partner as they use LEGO EV3 robots to explore STEM concepts, program mission tasks, and learn about using motors and sensors. They will finish off the week by conquering an original FIRST® Flashback game challenge using models from past FLL seasons.

Robotics 2
For 5th-9th grade students with FLL experience helpful but not required, 4-12 students.
This class helps prepare students to start FLL teams.
Student pairs will use a laptop and new Lego SPIKE Prime robot kits to build, program, and complete challenges. Bringing your own SPIKE Prime robot/laptop is welcomed if possible.
Gain greater insights into SPIKE Prime programming techniques; develop sensor, attachment and robot building, and strategy skills. Tackle the FLL City Shapers game challenge in a new way!
FLL Team Class
For students entering grades 4th-9th with some prior FLL experience necessary.
In this class, students and FLL team members will expand their programming and robot building knowledge as they get ready to compete in next year's FLL challenge. You and your team can learn everything from what sensors to use on your robot to tackling an innovation project and presenting it to judges.

Camp Auditing
Coaches/parents/mentors may audit any session. Chaperones are free with prior approval.
